Ingredients
Instructions
- Prepare all the ingredients for your morning buns. Chop the meat, tomatoes, pepper if you like, and greens. Shred the cheese using a grater
- Then cut off the tops of each bun and scoop out the insides
- Line your baking tray with foil/baking paper and place the buns on it. On the bottom of each bun, add a small amount of butter, then layer in the sausage, egg, salt and pepper, chopped vegetables, or additional meat, and sprinkle everything with shredded cheese
- Bake the tops of the buns and the filled buns for 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C). Then, remove the tops, cover the filled buns with foil, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes
- Sprinkle your baked buns with chopped greens, cover with the crust top and serve them for breakfast, as a side for soup, or as a fun idea for a kid’s lunchbox
Notes
Remember: if you prefer medium egg yolks, reduce the cooking time for your buns.
You can also prepare this breakfast in an air fryer, which takes about 20 minutes instead of 30 in the oven.
