Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, use an immersion blender (or any other blender) to blend the berries and overripe banana until completely smooth
  2. Stir in the chia seeds, mix well, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until the mixture sets
  3. Once the mixture has thickened, use a pastry bag to fill silicone molds of any shape with the berry mixture. Place them in the freezer for several hours until fully frozen
  4. Melt the chocolate in short bursts in the microwave or over a water bath. Add the oil and stir until smooth
  5. Dip each frozen candy into the chocolate mixture, one at a time, and place them on a prepared plate or tray
  6. Leave the candies in the refrigerator for a few minutes to allow the filling to soften, then enjoy your dessert
Notes
  • It’s best to use the ripest bananas possible, as they will make the candies naturally sweeter.

  • You can customize the berry mix to suit your taste—the candies will still be delicious, even if made with strawberries.

  • Any silicone mold will work for these candies; I used ice cube molds for mine.

  • To make it easier to remove and dip the candies in chocolate, insert toothpicks or small sticks (like coffee stirrers) into them before freezing, depending on the size of the candies.

  • The berry mixture can be prepared in advance. When ready to serve, simply melt the chocolate and make fresh candies in portions.
