- Ripe, juicy pears 2-3 pcs
Philadelphia Cream Cheese 250-300 g
- Eggs 2-3 pcs
- Sweetener to taste
- Almond flakes / Honey to serve
Instructions
- Peel the pears and slice them thinly.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the cream cheese until the mixture is smooth and fluffy (at this stage, if desired, add a sweetener/vanilla).
- Combine the pears with the cream mixture and gently fold them together. Pour everything into a baking dish, sprinkle with sliced nuts if desired, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30–40 minutes.
- After baking, let the casserole cool slightly, then remove it from the pan and place it in the fridge for a few hours (it will taste even better this way).
Notes
The preparation process is very simple and easy, but keep the following points in mind:
- It’s best if all ingredients are at room temperature — this prevents sudden temperature changes and helps the mixture from cracking.
- The sweeter and riper the pear, the less (or even no) sweetener you’ll need for the casserole.
- After baking, make sure to cool the casserole and gently loosen the edges so it comes out of the dish intact.
- It tastes best when chilled! Perfect for breakfast or as a dessert.
